Overview
The Oudaya Kasbah is an historic fortress located in the city of Rabat, Morocco. It was built in the 12th century by the Almohads and it served as a royal palace and a military stronghold. The Kasbah is situated on a hill overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the Bouregreg River, making it an ideal location for defense. The Kasbah has a maze of narrow streets, houses and gardens, and it is home to several traditional Moroccan houses, palaces, and monuments, such as the Bahia Palace, the Royal Palace and the Royal Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Visitors can explore the Kasbah and admire the beautiful architecture and intricate tilework, as well as the stunning views of the city and the ocean.
