Essaouira Day Trip from Marrakech
Early morning after breakfast we will take the advantage of this day to explore the town of Essaouira, the charming small town and old Portuguese city, formerly known as Mogador located 180 km from Marrakech, It was fortified by a French Architecture pupil of Sébastien Le Prestre de Vauban. These influences and many others gave a result very unique and attractive.
Today, the city is gradually becoming a city of artists. Essaouira has a very favorable microclimate which gives it a mild winter and fresh summer. Also mentioned should be a beautiful beach, protected by the Isles Purpura Aires, a set of small islands, named from the purple dye that was harvested from the murex mollusk that thrives in the oceans that surround the islands. so we are here to visit the Portuguese Port, Harbour, the old Medina, the Kechla, and the Taros.
The charms of the town are revealed by a visit to the souks, with their wild mixture of spices. If you are a fish enthusiast, you cannot miss the food in the market. then in the evening back to Marrakech and end of our day trip
