DAY 1 Casablanca - Fes
On our way to Fes if there is still time we going to have look at the ancient Berber and roman empires called Volubilis dated back 3d century. then heat to MEKNES which is one of the ancient capital of Moulay Ismail.
While walking down its streets, you can overlook the Zerhoun mountain which rises to 1000 meters to the north, the city has a high quality of olives.
Meknes is an imperial city and considered one of the first ones to be built by the Ismaili dynasty as a result the city is filled with history and heritage from ancient times, it has gigantesque gates adorned with traditional Moorish-Andalus sculpture. The city also contains much of Morocco's architecture a heritage from the ancient civilizations, vibrant souks, dar Jamai, El Hdim Square, which is similar to Jamaa El Fna square.
By evening we will arrive in Fez where we will spend the night in a Fes Riad
DAY 2 Fes city TOUR
All day was devoted to visiting Fez, the oldest of the imperial cities, home to the world’s first university dating from the 9th century, and one of the most complete medieval cities in existence. Surrounded by huge defensive walls, it seems suspended in a time warp, somewhere between the Middle Ages and the modern. Here we will have our local guide in the medieval Medina you will be visiting the famous tanneries and the Karaouine mosque. After lunch, in a typical Moroccan restaurant in Medina, you’ll visit the Merenid tombs and experience a wonderful panoramic view of the city. Check into your Accommodation.
DAY 3 Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Ziz valley – Erfoud – Merzouga Erg Chebbi
After breakfast drive south-eastward through the mountains and the cedar woods of the middle Atlas, passing by Moroccan Switzerland ” IFRAN”, a charming ski resort, and Azrou an important handicraft center specialized in the work of cedar wood. After the Zad pass (2,178m/7,146ft) you arrive in Midelt for lunch. Afternoon you will drive to Erfoud via Errachidia the 1000 Palms of Ziz valley dotted with palm trees. Continuation to the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, passing from the road of Paris Dakar, the workshop of fossils, Tent of Berber Nomad who living in the solitude of the Sahara, after continuation to our Hotel located near to the big dunes from here you will take a camel ride to the Sahara desert where you will enjoy the sunset, Dinner, and overnight in Merzouga luxury desert camp.
DAY 4 Merzouga - off road experience -visit Nomads - gnaws house music- berber pizza
This day will be related to the desert and Merzouga sightseeing, your driver/guide pick you up on a 4x4 adventure car to visit the ancient areas and the natural resources of the Merzouga and its surrounded villages . Starting with Khamlia village known for its black people and kind of music named Gnawa music that’s an opportunity to see a live music show, and continue to the mines of M'ifis-the older village in the area from in the 30s -. Continuing the adventures off-road in the desert to meet Berber nomadic families, and share with them their life experiences that would be of course with a cup of tea. The lunch will be different on the half day our company offers you a Berber pizza, cooked in the natural oven of clay, after lunch you drive back to the Hotel to o live the beautiful sunset in the Dunes, spend the night in the hotel.
DAY 5 Merzouga – RISSANI- Erfoud-Todra Gorges – Bomaln Dades.
Meet your guide/driver and start your day heading from Merzouga to Rissani where it existed one of the main traditional markets, that was in the past a station for trade’s caravans .in addition that town was the foundation of the Alaouite dynasty – the current ruling royal family- in Morocco. The road passes through Erfoud the land of fossils and that would be an opportunity to see one of the many fossils mining that offers fossils for sale (if you are interested). Continuing the way via Berber villages of Tinjdad to reach Todgha gorges a series of limestone river canyons, This stunning area affords an opportunity to walk and enjoy deep cliff-sided canyons. The night will be in Bomaln Dades in a nice hotel.
DAY 6 Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – High Atlas MountAINS – Marrakech.
The last day will start from Bomaln Dades driving through the villages of this charming area, Passing roses fields of Kelaa Magona known as Valley of the Roses famous for its Rose Festival in May, and via the road of a thousand Kasbahs toward Skoura oasis the land of Moroccan Kasbahs, then heading towards Ouarzazate known as Hollywood of Morocco, where you will stop to see the world’s largest movies studios Then the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah which is the largest Kasbah in Morocco and also has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987 and several films have been shot there. From there start crossing the high Atlas mountains through a pass named Tizi n’Tichka, which reached an altitude of 2260m where you will stop to appreciate the mountain view before arriving at Marrakech in the late afternoon.
